Martin Luther King, Jr. (b. January 15, 1929, Atlanta, Georgia –d. April 4, 1968, Memphis, Tennessee) was an American Baptist minister and activist who was a leader in the Civil Rights Movement. A native and resident of Indianapolis, Ind., Warren taught at the grade school and university level, and was an academic counselor and administrator, retiring in 1992 from DePauw University.
